Part 1
Once upon a time there was a King who ruled the Kingdom of Dreamland, which consisted of five small villages. Every year, an annual festival called " Day Dreams " happens in the main city of Dreamland, the" Pie in the Sky ". People from the other villages gather in the city for five days and celebrate the festival with Wine and Dine. Each village hosts the best merchandise from their homeland on a day, trying to outsmart other villages and please the King.
All was well and normal on that year's festival too, except for a strange shop which sold magical pets from the village of Hocuspocus. The shop hosted a variety of magical pets, ranging from Augurey to Phoenix, along with a mysteriously hidden cage in the corner of the shop. The villagers and the city-people were more eager to know the occupant of the cage , but the salesperson was adament that this was a present he kept for the King himself, and does not wish to disclose to others. Soon this news spread to the ears of the King and he reached the shop, inquired the shopkeeper of this strangeness.
"Oh King Frenzie, the best of the rulers of Dreamland, I have the rarest and cutest creature to walk on this earth ever, and I wish to present it to You, my Lord", babbled the salesperson in awe.
And he removed the curtains to the wondered stupefaction of the King. There lay a cute , kid Dinosaur, lolling its head sideways to have a better look at the King.

"Rawr Rawr", it rawred smiling fondly at the face of the King. The King was head over heels and fell immediately in love with its cuteness, hugged the Dino with the cage. He was so happy and awestruck with the present that he almost forgot the presence of others and started playing with the kiddie Dino. It was nearly minutes when he came back to his senses, when he exclaimed "Ye Clement seller from the beautiful Hocuspocus, I have been presented with many rare gifts, none better than this, nor cuter than this. I am impressed beyond the depth of the Impression.Ask away and I shall give you whatever you want", spoke the amazed King.
Part 2
"Oh King Frenzie, the noblest and the most charming of all the Rulers, I ask not anything Tricky, nor something Wealthy.Give me the thing which will last forever, that does not have a form, yet I could feel it always", told the shopkeeper.
"Love is the thing, and I shall show that onto you and your villagers forver", smiled the King. And He took the Dino in his hands and marched towards the Castle. From then on, the King and Dino were inseparable. The King named the Dino as " Daffodil " and used to play with it for hours at a stretch.
Eventually, the dino learned to talk and understand human language and grew up as a best pet. Everyday the King wakes up the dino and gives it Bed coffee, and takes it to bath. Later he feeds him with Dino-gree (much like pedigree, but for dinos) and takes it for a walk. Then they play games like Chess and Football. The Daffodil was very intelligent in nature and learnt most of the things human does so easily. And was it so caring? You bet it was...One such event is that even though he became profecient in chess, he plays like a crap against the King so that he loses and make the King jump in joy.
Evening times the king used to carry him in his hands and walk around the city and takes him to the park occasionally. Thus they grew up so intimately that at one stage neither would be able to live with out the other.
But fate played it otherwise. It was in the nature of Daffodil that he grew up at an alarming rate, and he reached 50 feet in the span of 6 months... This became a big concern for the King as he is neither that tall, nor he could sleep along with him in his bed. At one stage he started becoming too stressed and mad that he could not show his care to Daffodil and took a Stupid Decision.
Part 3
Please note that this story has two different endings, with two ironic emotions. This ending is the first type. Alternate ending will be posted after few hours. Happy reading.
The frustrated king went to the Temple of Gods and took out his sword. His love for the Daffodil was the same as that towards his citizens, and being unable to show care for Daffodil meant he could not possibly live!!!!
Daffodil, who was trailing the King without his knowledge was thunderstruck when he withdrew his sword. He came running towards the king to stop him, but alas, the King struck himself before he reached him.And there lay the most caring King in Daffodil's lap, open eyed, full of agony.
Daffodil could not bear the loss, after all, he was also a creature with a good natured heart. He rose from the body of the King and looked straight into the Eyes of the Maker's statue and spoke with a fury that rivalled that of the All Powerful.
"Oh Almighty, the Giver and Taker of Life, You have done injustice to justice, shown Cruelty to mercy and defeated the Undefeatable, the Love. And You take pride of being King of the Kings!!!!. I do not wish to live where my soul lie dead beneath my heart. Take my life", shrieked the angry Daffodil, and took out the same sword and nearly struck its chest when a deafening sound filled the Temple.
"Daffodil, the cutest among the wildest creature on this Earth, you have shown me the faith and true loyalty. I am impressed. Ask any Boon and I shall give it Soon", smiled the God.
"God of Dreams, I ask only thing I know. Bring back my King from my Dreams to Reality and I shall be content with it forever", pleaded Daffodil. The Maker smiled upon the Dino and the King was resurrected from Death and was offered a boon too, for his showing of impartial affection towards his subjects. The King requested that the Dino stay at the size of a human and be with him forever, and was granted with glee.
Thus the King and Daffodil returned back to the Castle and lived happily ever after.
